I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I have! Hope you have a wonderful, delicious day!

Auntie Anne's pretzels always have you going back for seconds

Auntie Anne's Cinnamon Sugar Pretzal

Ingredients:

- 1 1/2 cups of water

- 1 1/4 teaspoons of active dry yeast

- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar

- 1 1/4 teaspoons of salt

- 1 cup of bread flour

- 3 cups of flour

- 2 cups of water

- 2 tablespoons baking soda

- Coarse salt

- 2-4 tablespoons butter (melted)

Directions:

1. Stir the yeast on the lukewarm water in the mixing bowl. Stir to have the yeast dissolve.

2. Add sugar and salt into the bowl and stir to dissolve. Add flour then proceed to knead dough until it becomes smooth and elastic.

3. Let the dough rise for about 30 minutes.

4. While dough is rising, prepare a baking soda water bath with 2 cups of warm water and 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Be certain to stir often.

5. After dough has risen, pinch off bits of dough and roll into a long rope (about 1/2 inch or less thick) and shape it into a pretzel.

6. Dip the pretzel in the soda solution and place on a greased baking sheet

7. Allow pretzels to rise again then bake in an oven at 450 degrees for about 10 minutes or until golden.

8. Brush with melted butter

9. Melt a stick of butter in a shallow bowl but big enough to fit the entire pretzel and in another shallow bowl make a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.

10. Dip the pretzel into the butter, coating both sides generously.

11. Then dip again into the cinnamon mixture

Tip!: The longer and thinner you can make the dough rope, the more like Auntie Anne's they will be.

You can make as many as you want before running out of ingredients. (I mean have you seen the bags that the yeast comes in??) Happy eating :)
