Well I love lemonade on a hot day and my favorite fruit is a mango so I am super hyped to know I can combine the two!!




Instructions:

- 1 3/4 cups of white sugar (you can substitute half the sugar for honey)

- 8 cups of water

- 1 1/2 cups of lemon juice

- 3 mangoes, peeled and pitted

Makes 4 servings

What to Do:

1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup of water

2. Bring to boil and stir to dissolve sugar

3. Allow to cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until chilled.

4. Puree the mangoes using a blender or handheld blender adn strain through seive to remove any fibers. Set aside.

5. Remove seeds from lemon juice, but leave pulp.

6. In a pitcher, stir together chilled syrup, lemon juice, mango puree and remaining 7 cups of water.

7. Serve immediately chilled or on ice

(You can also freeze them in ice cube trays and make a mango lemonade slushie)

Im just saying my dudes, when fall comes you can pumpkin ANYTHING.


Look when fall comes around pumpkin stuff starts going on sale. Whether it is a drink, your teacher or your themed chairs. Let us face it pumpkins are all around us when fall hits.


Why get left behind??

The Puzzle Pieces

- 3 1/2 cups of flour

- 4 tsp of baking powder

- 1 tsp of salt

- 1 tsp of ground cinnamon

- 1/2 tsp of ground ginger

- 1/2 tsp of baking soda

- 1/4 tsp of groud nutmeg

- 1/8 tsp of ground cloves

- 1 cup of sugar

- 3 tbsp of unsalted butter

- 1 large egg

- 2 large egg yolks

- 1 tsp of vanilla extract

- 1/2 cup and 1 tbsp of buttermilk

- 1 cup of pumpkin puree

- Vegtable oil (for deep frying)

- Granulated Sugar for rolling donuts in (optional)

Makes 18-24 donuts


What to Do:

1. Heat oil to 365 degrees F.

2. Mix your dry ingredients.

3. Add in butter, egg, egg yolks, vanilla, and buttermilk. Mix until combined.

4. Fold in pumpkin.

5. Dough should be a tad sticky but enough you can handle it.

6. If you need more flour, add it in 1 tbs at a time.

7. Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes.

8. On a flour surface, press dough out to be 1/2 inch thick.

9. With a donut cutter, cut donuts. Drop into hot oil 3-4 at a time.

10. Fry for about 1 minute per side or until golden.

11. Remove from oil and pplace on drying racks or on paper towls to soak up some of the oil. 12. Roll warm donuts in sugar.

I personally never ate this but my mother is obssessed so why not?


Hey! This soup is apparently heaven in a bowl according to my wonderful mother. You be the judge!

It's also from Panera. So automatic yum.

Ingredients

- 2 tbsp of butter

- 1 medium onion, chopped

- 1/2 cup of butter

- 2 cups of milk

- 2 cups of half and half

- 1/2 cups of flour

- 4 cups of chicken broth

- 1 lb fresh broccoli, florets only

- 2 cups of baby carrots, chopped

- 1/2 tsp of nutmeg

- 4 cups of grated cheddar cheese

- Salt and pepper to taste


What To Do:

1. Saute the onion in the 2 tbsp of butter and set aside.

2. In a sauce pan, melt the 1/2 cup of butter and whisk in the flour.

3. Gradually add the half and half and milk to the butter/flour mixture.

4. Whisk together until thickened

5. Add the milk/butter/flour mixture to the onions and then add the chicken broth.

6. Add the broccoli and carrots and simmer over medium low heat for 20-25 minutes or until the brocooli is tender.

7. Puree the mixture with an immersion blender or a stand up blender

8. Stir in the cheese and nutmeg.

9. Add salt and pepper to taste
